Why Can’t I Be Like YOU?

August 15, 2011 at 7:14 pm 4 comments

Lately, I can’t help but compare myself to everyone around me. Other bloggers, coworkers, random people on LinkedIn, high school acquaintances and so much more.

It always feels like someone is doing something MORE than I am. No matter how hard I try, they’re better, a bit cooler,Ā  more experienced, friendlier, funnier, more exciting, more interesting and the list goes on.

They breathe sparkles and pink fire.

Their tear drops are filled with resume builders.

And everytime they sneeze creativity comes out.

Let’s be real, there’s always someone better out there. But, it doesn’t mean you can’t try your little hiney off to be just as good if not better.

Do you compare yourself to others sometimes?
